Portfolio Chapter
Nocturne Marsh
A frog-led odyssey through moonlit wetlands and reflective waters.
A nocturnal chapter balancing field sketches with metallic print trials to capture moonlit wetlands.
Nocturne Marsh sketches were captured after sundownâhalf from observation, half from memory. Frogs, reeds, and ripples swapped places in dozens of thumbnails until the cadence of the scene felt true.
Once the composition held, the focus shifted to atmosphere. Light was built in reverse, edges softened, and metallic inks were tested to carry moonlight into the print edition.
A lineup of reed silhouettes taped above the drafting table to keep the rhythm in view.
